Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. This is a 1st shift position Monday - Friday 7AM-3PM Operate basic equipment and machines and carry out routine tasks. Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment by carrying out preparations and providing support. Ensure work meets required quality standards and adheres to external regulatory codes and internal policies. Utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges. Work with guidance to understand and apply company policies and procedures. Experience : 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes / mills. Technical Skills : Ability to operate and maintain machining equipment. Precision Equipment Knowledge : Proficiency in using precision measuring tools.
