Join Chesapeake Flowserve, a world class pump manufacturer. The Paint/Pack Prep will prep pumps/parts for painting. This position regularly requires work near moving mechanical parts. It occasionally requires exposure to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Weekend work as needed.

Role Summary:

7 AM - 3:30 PM or 3:30 PM - Midnight
Responsibilities:
- Be able to read and understand documentation regarding surface preparation and paint type.
- Perform all part finishing activities including parts finishing, including masking and other surface preparations.
- Able to use, operate and maintain specialized equipment including wet spray guns, airless systems, and booths.
- Cross Train in Packaging and Crating.
- Responsible for quality of work performed; work efficiently and to required specifications with minimal supervision.
- Understand and operate equipment properly and safely.
- Use of basic hand tools.
- Work in a high noise level environment.
- Must wear safety protection according to company policy.
- Adhere to safe work habits, rules, and practices, including the correct use of tools, machines, safety devices and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace
- 3 years of related painting experience or training.
- Able to work overtime as needed. Weekend work on occasion.
- Equipment Painting like pumps or motors, and parts.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience
