Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manual lathes with exposure to CNC equipment. This role involves working safely in a manufacturing environment, ensuring precision tool grinding, and using overhead jib cranes, ergonomics, and inspection equipment.
You will also be required to perform self-inspection of parts, use trigonometry to find dimensions, and demonstrate an understanding of geometric tolerancing. Additionally, you will work efficiently and safely, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, geometric tolerances, and finishes during the application of machining.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Machinist certification, training, or degree related to machining (a plus).
- Experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certification.
