Job Overview
This exciting opportunity is available at our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility, which spans over 150,000 square feet. Our state-of-the-art facility provides capability for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing for a diverse product portfolio, serving all markets (power, oil & gas, water resources, general industry, and chemical).
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in a team-oriented and CIP environment, following verbal and written instructions while adhering to all Safety Procedures & Policy. They will be responsible for accurate completion of certification reports and able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive arm motions, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Run and observe band saw operation, verifying quality of finished workpieces to specifications through self-inspections.
- Operate overhead and jib cranes to lift and move heavy parts.
- Work in other areas of the department when needed.
- Move materials and parts to and from work areas via power lift trucks and fork trucks.
- Complete accurate certification reports.
- Adhere to all Safety Procedures & Policy and complete Pure Safety and other safety training as required.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and CIP environment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic shop math skills.
- Ability to use a tape measure.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to stand for long periods, repetitive arm motions, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in machining or similar field.
- Forklift certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
