Job Title: Program Manager

Reports To: Executive Director

Position Overview:

The Program Manager oversees FCA’s visual arts education, studios, exhibitions, and special programs, ensuring they are engaging, financially sustainable, and accessible. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and organized individual who thrives in a collaborative arts environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Education & Studios

  • Develop, schedule, and manage educational programs for adults, youth, and special populations.
  • Contract instructors and oversee scheduling.
  • Oversee student communication, including registration inquiries, class updates, and program-related questions.
  • Ensure timely procurement and management of class materials and tools.
  • Manage class registrations using Sawyer, ensuring accurate data entry, and reporting.
  • Evaluate class performance and participation data to inform future programming and support FCA’s strategic goals for education.
  • Process and track instructor payments, in collaboration with the bookkeeper.
  • Handle class transfers, refunds, and scholarship requests.
  • Step in to teach or substitute when needed.

Exhibitions

  • Curate exhibitions in collaboration with the Executive Director.
  • Manage exhibit programming, including artist talks, demonstrations, receptions, and educational opportunities.
  • Oversee installation, de-installation, and artist communications.
  • Manage Calls to Artists (Café` & Google Forms) and provide content for marketing.
  • Research and manage exhibitions on loan.

Artist Community

  • Manage programming aspects and vendor coordination for FCA events.
  • Serve as liaison to the Artisan Market Manager.
  • Manage artist coordination for community outreach events.

Operations & Administration

  • Uphold FCA’s artistic standards to ensure quality and excellence in programming, exhibitions, and community engagement.
  • Track program revenue, expenses, and contracts to ensure financial viability.
  • Deliver Education, Access, and Artist metrics monthly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming studio environment, delegating tasks as needed.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing & Special Events to integrate programming into FCA’s Customer Relations Management software (Little Green Light) to create specific programming listservs and reports.
  • Play a lead role in FCA's strategic plan goals for education.
  • Chair and actively participate in program-related committees/teams.
  • Assist in or lead grant applications for education, exhibitions, and special populations programs.

Community Engagement & Marketing

  • Build relationships with artists, instructors, schools, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Special Events to ensure timely and effective promotion of programs through FCA’s website, social media, and outreach efforts.
  • Represent FCA at community events and networking opportunities.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2 years in programming, administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and program finances.
  • Proficiency with registration tools, Wix, and Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for arts education, community engagement, and strategic growth.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master degree.
  • Nonprofit or administration experience.
  • Contract management knowledge.
  • Event coordination and project management experience.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
