Job Title: Assistant Football Coach

Reports To: Athletic Director/Principal
Job Description:
The High School Coach is responsible for developing and leading a competitive athletic program that prioritizes student-athlete development, sportsmanship, and team success. This role encompasses skill development, mentorship, and fostering a positive team culture that aligns with the school and division's values and goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Demonstrated expertise in the specific sport to be coached.

Previous coaching experience at the high school level or higher (preferred).

Must meet all requirements for coaching certification in Virginia, including CPR/First Aid certification and completion of required training programs (e.g., VHSL courses).

Strong communication and leadership skills to work effectively with student-athletes, parents, and staff.

Commitment to upholding high standards of sportsmanship, safety, and academic achievement for all student-athletes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a coach or participation in the sport at the high school or college level
- Current CPR certification
