Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time night position (36 hours per week) in our Nursing Department for a RN - House Supervisor.

RN - House Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total patient care during assigned shift. In the absence of the Director of Patient Care and/or designee, the House Supervisor has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator.
- Must have the ability to work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands and short time frames. Demonstrates awareness of the importance of age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages in meeting each patient's unique needs for basic nursing care.
- 12-hour shifts (7:00pm - 7:00am).
- Every third weekend, every third holiday and occasional call.
RN - House Supervisor Requirements:
- Licensed as a registered nurse in Iowa and/or meets the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience; experience in a variety of acute care clinical settings (i.e. ICU, Med/Surg. and OB) is preferred. Experience in a supervisory position is preferred or will be oriented to point of competency.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP are required. TNCC is required if working in the Emergency Department. All certifications must be acquired within 6 months of employment and must be kept current throughout employment.
- Mandatory Reporter training certificate required as an employee.
