Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a part-time position (28 hours per week) in our Materials Management Department for a Materials Purchasing Assistant.

Materials Purchasing Assistant Responsibilities:
- Responsible for unpacking, verifying, receiving on computer if applicable and routing of all stock receipts into the hospital.
- Assist with weekly orders to vendors.
- Keeps storeroom neat and orderly to ensure product is stored per department guidelines and floors and aisles are clear from safety hazards.
- Checks outdates of stock and rotates inventory when new stock comes in.
- Assists with inventory control.
- Prepares outgoing freight ready for shipment
- Assists with invoicing and with patient billable supply charges in absence of Purchasing Agent or when needed.
- 28 hours per week with no weekend and holiday rotation.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must know basic math, inventory control procedures, and computer concepts with strong attention to detail; ability to independently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter training is a plus; certification is required as an employee.
