Position Highlights
Floyd Valley Healthcare is excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as a full-time Patient Care Technician through our new training program for Certified Nurse Aides!
Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has developed our in-house training program which will prepare employees for careers in healthcare. The formal training program consists of:
- Temporary Nurse Aide Training
- On the job training
- Competency evaluations
- Completion of 75-hour Certified Nurse Aide course within 90 days of hire (or soonest course available upon hire)

Patient Care Technician Responsibilities:
- Performs treatments within the scope of the Patient Care Aide duties as directed by the RN/LPN.
- Performs basic care tasks under the direction of an RN/LPN to maintain comfort and well-being of the patient.
- Monitors vital signs, weight, height, and intake and output as directed.
- Flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
Patient Care Technician Requirements:
- Completion of Temporary Nurse Aide training within first week of hire.
- Competencies completion.
- 75-hour Certified Nursing Assistant course from an accredited program within first 90 days of employment.
- BLS a plus; certification is required as an employee.
- Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certification is required as an employee.
