Position Highlights
The Therapies Manager is tasked with overseeing our Therapies department by offering services, creating strategic goals, and acting as a liaison between other medical departments. The job also entails overseeing day-to-day operations and seeing as well as evaluating patients as necessary. You can also expect to implement sound and effective financial strategies, anticipate financial requirements, and analyze monthly financial reports.
Education:
- Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy program..
- Must pass the National Physical Therapy Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
- Expand professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Experience to Qualify:
- 5 years experience as a physical therapist.
- Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
Prior experience and/or willingness to share coverage at local athletic events preferred.
Certifications and Licenses:
- Current Physical Therapist license.
- BLS certification within six months of employment and current certification maintained throughout employment.
Iowa Mandatory Reporter training within six months of employment.
Skills:
- Ability to lead a team of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and support staff in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to work with patients from variety of demographics, ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations.
