What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry-Level, Carrier Relations/ After-hours Track and Trace Representative position at FLS Transportation Services?
- FLS Transportation seeks an entry-level Carrier Relations/ After-hours Track-and-Trace representative for its Rome, GA office. Transportation experience is a plus, but not required. The schedule is as follows: Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Use customer knowledge, industry experience, and information listed on the load to problem-solve as issues arise.
- Promptly notify the operations team of any load issues.
- Accept customer tenders and update customer portals as required.
- Communicate with shippers/receivers and the operations team when appointments need to be rescheduled, sending updated confirmations to the carrier with appointment revisions.
- Assist in the recovery of loads when needed by using various software tools to source carrier equipment.
- Negotiate rates with carriers to maximize profitability and tender loads when receiving inbound phone calls and emails. Carrier Relations Responsibilities:
- Ensure all carriers available under FLS branch operations meet the corporation's minimum requirements.
- Review and process carrier Insurance certificates.
- Expeditiously execute Carrier Relations Requests while adhering to compliance requirements.
- Complete credit applications.
- Safeguard FLS from fraudulent carriers by using resources.
- Daily review unreleased and released FreightGuard reports.
- Promptly respond to incoming phone calls and emails to the Carrier Relations department.
- Assist the accounting department with carrier inquiries and vendor set-ups.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
