ROLE SUMMARY
The Inventory Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory and Inventory Specialists in each retail location in New York. Further, the Inventory Manager is responsible for evaluating inventory needs, conducting inventory audits, and ensuring accurate inventory procedures. This role negotiates purchasing policies and discounts with respective suppliers along with submitting weekly delivery orders. They also analyze and implement purchasing processes and delivery systems while managing and directing employees involved in inventory. The Inventory Manager maintains the highest level of presentation, management, and representation of FLUENT to all partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Submits weekly delivery orders with PA vendors.
- Analyze sales data capturing any new trends or product requests for product ordering.
- Ensure medicine and merchandise inventory is accurate and accounted for in the daily audits.
- Report and investigate any inventory discrepancies in any of the retail locations in New York.
- Receives and inputs new shipments into Dutchie.
- Creates new products in Dutchie when needed.
- Updates product pricing to reflect wholesale price.
- Ensure prices, percentages and product information is accurate on website.
- Mitigate any inventory issues to resolve with Jane, Dutchie, or a supplier when necessary.
- Organizes and labels inventory in vault to maximize space and efficiency.
- Oversees and manages NY Inventory Specialists.
- Communicates any issues regarding the inventory, sales, or operations to the Associate Director.
QUALIFICATION
SKILLS
REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Sales, Business, Management, Operations, or similar field
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
Must pass a drug screening
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibility of the Curators (Sales Associates) responsible for.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
The company will ask you to assist in other departments or locations depending on company needs. This means that you may not always work in the department that you were hired. Teamwork and getting product out to patients is our goal. This means helping where you are needed is crucial to your success as well as the company's success.

The employee frequently is required to stand at a workstation for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms and ability to work on iPad, laptop or desktop for extended periods of time reading, reviewing and analyzing information and providing recommendations and summaries to patients. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and / or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 25 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
OTHER DUTIES
Inventory is not limited to duties above and may be part of additional projects for retail.
