ROLE SUMMARY
The Greenhouse Cultivation Manager is responsible for overseeing the Cultivation teams and coordinating with Cultivation Assistant Growers and IPM to ensure general maintenance of all Greenhouse crops, and facility grounds are on track, while supporting the Facility Manager with daily operational tasks. The Greenhouse Cultivation Manager is a motivated, dependable, detail oriented, person, responsible for growing top quality plants in accordance with company policies and procedures, production parameters and product specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for learning and executing on the needs of the strains grown within the Greenhouse, including watering, fertilizing, and spraying.
- Maintain plant health to meet the company’s standards.
- Work independently and perform work in accordance with team and company goals.
- Monitor plant development to determine optimal and sub optimal conditions that affect bud structure and the existence of disease or pests; removing substandard or diseased plants to maintain quality standards.
- Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets and OSHA policies and procedures.
- Scout for insects, diseases, and deficiencies.
- Gather required data and maintain accurate recordkeeping.
- Oversee the day to day growing aspects. Utilize a task list and execute each of the items in timely manner.
- Maintain appropriate irrigation and fertilization frequency.
- Work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure production schedule metrics are being met or exceeded.
- Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area, all staging areas and facility, at all times, including routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment and infrastructure Take instruction and assist with tasks delegated by the management team.
- Participate in harvest and processing if needed.
- Use, maintain, and operate equipment in the facility.
- Ensure the daily compliance policies are followed, but not limited to compliance with the state, security protocols, access protocols and dress code.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required across all levels within the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Three years in operations management and/or building/facilities management.
- One year minimum of quality assurance, compliance, or quality control experience.
- One year minimum of medical cannabis industry experience desired.
- Must be able to work independently and exercise independent judgment.
- Proficient in facilities systems and protocols.
SKILLS
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Effective time-management and ability to multi-task.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, computerized, and plumbing systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office programs including MS Outlook and Excel.
- Strong organizational and leaderships skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and challenging environment.
- Self-driven and hard working.
- Demonstrate integrity and dedication and have a positive work attitude and strong work ethic.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent
3 years Commerical Cannabis experience
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
Must pass a drug screening.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibility of the greenhouse team and works alongside all department managers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. {Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs.}. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area travel is expected.
