Key Responsibilities :
The Quality Technician supports, measures, guides, and adjusts daily and weekly cultivation quality activities through their oversight and participation in our Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the overall quality, compliance, and safety within the cultivation department, and to confirm personnel and processes adhere to our production plans and procedures. Activities may span the entire cultivation cycle, from botanical preparation to final product packaging. The ideal candidate will excel as a team leader, with expertise in food safety, HACCP planning, and a strong attention to detail. The candidate should also have a thorough understanding of GMP, GACP, and GAP procedures. This role demands heavy amounts of documentation and systems management; duties are completed individually and occasionally in small teams, under the supervision of the Cultivation Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager.

Analyzing, developing, and implementing quality process improvements for cultivation areas
Conducting or assisting in cultivations weekly & monthly audits
Execute quality and compliance goals within cultivation
Upholding phytosanitary conditions within the cultivation department
Ensuring quality control, safety, and compliance of all cultivation activities and personnel
Patterns within the cultivation department that affect quality.
Monitoring seed to sale system to ensure compliance obligations are met
Reviewing departments raw materials and inputs ensuring quality and compliance standards are met
Collaborate on Standard Operating Procedures with department
Assist in developing work instructions
Submit end of week reporting and EOD emails
Documenting incident reports, and executing CAPA plans and investigations
Ensure proper training, development, and mentorship of employees when needed
Work with the management to ensure goals and deadlines are being met in a timely fashion
Ensure department operates in a safe environment, reporting any violations to management
Verifies sanitation practices and overall sanitary conditions within the cultivation department
Technical expertise on certain pieces of equipment, as well as ability to troubleshoot and disassemble hardware
Reviewing cultivations key data collection points, reporting all findings to management
Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from management
Physical Demands
This role requires clear communication, mobility, and the ability to work in a professional office and retail environment.
The ability to operate standard office equipment (computers, phones, etc.) is essential.
Tasks may involve extended periods of standing, walking, and reaching.
Occasional lifting of moderate weight (less than 30 lbs) may be required.
Regular attendance is crucial.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

- 3-5 years working in a cultivation environment

- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Inputting documentation as required
- Understanding of phytosanitary conditions and procedures
- Following state and company guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Agricultural Collection Practices (GACP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Certified Quality Inspector Certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
