Job Summary

The Installation Technician is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, efficiently install and assemble furniture within clients’ facilities, ensuring timely completion of the project, and participates in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Understands and completes direction from Senior Technicians
  • Takes ownership for assigned tasks and follows through to completion
  • Capable of reacting to varying field conditions and notifies Senior Technician of changes to the scope of work.
  • Responsible for customer property, including building, equipment and furniture.
  • Responsible for the company issues tools, equipment and vehicles.
  • Consistently meets installation standards and delivers quality workmanship.
  • Understands how to read installation plans, proper use of tools, staging, and integrating with other trades at the jobsite.
  • Executes technical installation tasks, including wall track, field measuring, product repairs, simple field cuts, and product modifications.
  • Completes accurate and timely expense reports for reimbursable expenses
  • Maintains a clean and organized jobsite for installation team.
  • Alerts Senior Technician of any punch items during the install.
  • Ensures strong customer service experience through timely responses to on-site customer requests, understanding customer satisfaction and consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Understands installation scope of work and standards.
  • Understands floor plans, elevations and renderings.
  • Understands basic installation processes including unloading, loading, staging, assembly of panels and components, cleanup, detailing and lock installation.
  • Experience installing major furniture lines preferred.
  • Understands basic electrical schematics and systems furniture electrical components.
  • Professional in appearance and in personal interactions.
  • Physical strength and stamina are required to lift and move furniture, boxes, and equipment.
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and is punctual and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work after hours and extended shifts occasionally or as needed.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background screening
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Adheres to all OSHA safety requirements and supports a safe working environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
