Description
The Engineering Intern performs a variety of design/drafting activities, including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects, preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings, establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management, and managing workload distribution within the department—other duties to be performed as assigned.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design/Drafting
· Assist in CAD database set-up and migration to Solidworks, PDM, etc.
· Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, and more complex drawings.
· Review drawings, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation when design service is requested by the Application Engineer or Product Manager.
· Review and modify information with supervision by the Product Managers and or Engineering team.
· Make data available to Application Engineers and Product Managers.
· Understand filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date revised drawings.
Professional duties
· Attend regular development meetings.
· Address limitations of technologies and materials involved in the CAD process.
· Utilize large databases of material property information to best select materials for modeling.
· Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs.
· Keep up to date on all modern advancements in material and software technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Student currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
· Ability to work 40 hours a week during the summer.
