What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Welder position at Fluidra North America?
Fluidra’s looking for a Lead Welder to join our team at our Bobe Plant in Phoenix, AZ.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Set up components for welding according to specifications
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
- Maintain work area and equipment in a condition that does not compromise 5S initiative and safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE SEEK
- Proven experience as welder
- In-Depth knowledge and understanding of TIG Welding Process.
- Knowledge of Copper and Stainless-Steel material properties.
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Proficient in English, being bilingual will be a plus
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
- Ability to maintain an open line of communication with coworker’s management team
EDUCATION
- Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required.
