Director of Product Management, Software Platforms

We are seeking an innovative Director, Software Platformization to build our software platform with core infrastructure to efficiently scale and monetize across product lines. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of 3, designing the technical strategy and structure of a platform to ensure scalability, security, and alignment with business and technology goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the high-level structure of the platform, including its components, modules, and the interactions between them. Choose the appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks that align with the platform’s needs and future scalability.
• Develop a core platform with common infrastructure to scale (authentication, single sign-on, payment infrastructure, consistent UI and API framework.
• Build a SW experience roadmap to deliver at least one monetizable module each year.
• Ensure that the platform can scale horizontally and vertically as user demand increases, maintaining high performance and low latency.
• Design the platform with security in mind, incorporating best practices for data protection, access control, and vulnerability management.
• Ensure the platform can integrate with external systems, APIs, and third-party services smoothly.
• Provide guidance to engineering teams on best practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Collaborate closely with the product line SW PMs to understand product requirements and evaluate them for platform vs app offerings..
• Engage with other architects, stakeholders, and leadership to align the platform’s architecture with overall business and technical strategies.
  
  

Who You Are

• You have a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams, including software engineering, product management, and architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Experience in driving large-scale transformation initiatives, particularly in the integration or platformization of complex software systems.
• Deep understanding of software platform architecture and the challenges of unifying siloed systems into a cohesive, scalable platform.
• Experience designing and delivering integrated software platforms that support business-critical applications, ensuring robustness, reliability, and scalability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when dealing with complex, interdependent systems.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity, making informed decisions to drive platform integration and overcome technical challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
• Strong familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, with experience leading teams in an agile environment.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 144,400.00 - 268,400.00
