Calibration/Repair Technician

We have an exceptional opportunity for a Calibration/Repair Technician to join our team in Fluke Park Lab, Wa. Technicians perform routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment. In a repair center setting, repairs instruments and/or systems returned to the factory for service and/or repair. The work environment is fast-paced, high-energy and professionally rewarding.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, makes repairs, resolves technical problems and performs maintenance and calibration service on equipment or components returned to repair center by customers.
  • Prepares repair and calibration documentation and accurately maintains associated records
  • Conveys data and trends on product repairs to appropriate person or department to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Raises unusual product issues to technical support or other appropriate department.
  • Completes calibration data sheets accurately and efficiently
  • Occasionally is required to create calibration data sheets, with minimal direction, based upon instrument specifications and approved calibration procedures.
  • Completes all documentation supporting customer requirements, reporting, ISO and other quality systems.
  • Acquires job skill and learns company policies
  • Basic calibrations
  • Adheres to quality management system policies and procedures in performance of work
  • FBS participation-Daily Scheduling, Visual Management Participation, Kaizen Participation, Problem solving participation
  • Performs other laboratory support functions as needed in an efficient and orderly manner.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient with temperature probes and digital multimeters.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on assignments that are routine in nature, requires limited judgement.
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications with an emphasis on Excel required.

Preferred:

  • College degree, or continued education.
  • 2-year technical certification

Bonus or Equity
This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Pay Range
The pay range for this position (in local currency) is 26.26 - 48.70 hourly
