Description:

The Channel Sales Representative focuses partnering with Grainger on selling Fluke industrial test tools to professionals across the US. The Channel Sales Rep will partner with Inside & Field Sales teams to identify customer challenges and align them to Fluke solutions to cultivate a smooth selling experience. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with multiple levels of both Grainger and Fluke team members. As the front line in the Fluke/Grainger relationship, you will improve and apply sales proficiencies while making meaningful contributions to Fluke’s success. In this role you’ll be partnering with Marketing teams and Product experts to deliver the best solutions to our shared customers. This is an excellent role for those interested in building a long-term career in Channel sales.

Responsibilities:

  • This opportunity will be based in San Antonio, Texas with travel to Chicago, Illinois.
  • Ideal candidates will be passionate about building relationships with sellers/leaders to further trusted partnerships.
  • Determining org/team/segment structure to advise sellers on how to optimally navigate sales opportunities.
  • Learn Grainger Sales Process and selling skills to provide consistency in sales approach and training.
  • Develop segment specific training focused on product knowledge and how to have the conversation.
  • Provide product samples relevant to specific segments and applications.
  • Gain knowledge on the daily challenges sellers and customers face, and provide solutions to improve efficiency, safety, and revenue.
  • Introduce product promotions and marketing material that can be used as informal “campaigns”.
  • Help teams qualify and close opportunities (sales support and/or joint sales calls).
  • Elevate customer satisfaction by building seller expertise and their ability to sell Value.
  • Provide clear direction to engage support resources.
  • Improve quarterly and annual sales target/plan for assigned territory.
  • Review sales forecast by territory with management team.
  • Learn Fortive Business Systems (FBS) fundamentals to continuously improve team performance Maintain basic knowledge of Fluke’s product lines and offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Fluke sales experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience preferred.
  • Persuasive interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to excel in multifaceted environments and build outstanding solutions for cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to connect and harmonize with internal and external sales personnel, executives, and customers.
  • Goal-oriented and motivated by achievement of sales goals.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills; ability to set priorities and work independently.
  • Ability to learn and explain technical products and applications as necessary.
  • Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
