Plant Designer Responsibilities:
• Developing plant and piping layouts
• Performing drafting of drawings, including process and instrumentation diagrams, material take off and stress sketches and isometrics, as well as arrangements drawings and other documentation
• Performing 3D modelling of mineral processing facilities in Smart 3D and extracting 2D general arrangement drawings from it.
• Fluor's task force project execution concept provides designers with a full range of assignments comprising preliminary feasibility studies through to the completion of detailed engineering drawings• Graduating with a Diploma from Mechanical Engineering Technology or Equivalent in 2024/2025
• Qualified candidates must possess strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Required to have good working knowledge of 2D CAD drafting and are required to work in a computer based 3D Design environment. Previous experience using CAD, AutoCAD, Microstation 2D and Intergraph 3D is a definite asset, but in-house training is availableTo be considered for this position you must submit a copy of your current Resume and Transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).
