Fluor Plant Engineering office is part of the E&C Energy Solutions Sustaining Capital Projects Business Line.
We are looking for a I&CS Engineer to support the regional team (Spain) in HO location at Tarragona .
This position supports the E&I department on assigned projects through the following Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and lead the squad check effort for vendor equipment documentation for assigned equipment
• Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
• Prepare/review scopes of work for third party contracts
• Support proposal and estimate activities
• Identify deviations in job scope, estimate magnitude of changes, and initiate trends or change orders
• Deliver quality work, and adhere to the Operating System Requirements (OSR)
• Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
• Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
• Participate in Fluor University® as necessary to follow the curricula as outlined in the Functional Development Frameworks
• Participate in people development through mentoring, development of training material, and performance appraisal input and counseling
• Engage Fluor’s global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset
• Support the Functional Process Lead and Department Manager on initiatives
• May promote company branding by active participation in external technical organizations
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff

• Knowledge and implementation of Global UNISON Data Standards and Reference Software Systems for Project Execution• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and more than five (5) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Professional registration (preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
• Practical field experience
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs• Knowledge of Microstation or AUTOCAD.
• Knowledge of Spanish low and high voltage standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of ETAP or SKM powertools.• Perform control systems sizing calculations for control valves, relief valves, flow elements, thermowells and other instrumentation
• Create instrument index and datasheets and generate reports in Hexagon Smart® Instrumentation database
• Develop intermediate complexity control systems narrative specifications
• Develop basic control systems, cause and effect diagrams, or logic diagrams as required by project
• Develop control systems estimates, reports on control systems progress
• Develop specifications and design of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) hardware and software applications and implementation in the software configuration
• Intermediate knowledge of: o Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) representation; can recognize/report problems associated with control systems representation on P&ID o Developing control strategies and represent on P&ID o Instrument design and installation requirements
• Knowledge required to specify instrumentation
• Knowledge of control systems procurement activities
