What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Controls Specialist-Scheduler-P6 Admin-Aiken position at Fluor Corp?
Scope - This position is responsible for administering P6 for a large complex multi-year project. This role serves as the primary point of contact and Subject Manager Expert (SME) for P6 on the project. This role will liaise with the internal and external users, project personnel, and the client.
• P6 Roles & Responsibilities
• Setup and maintenance of the P6 environment, including coding structures, resource pools, calendars, Enterprise Project Structure (EPS), and Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS).
• User rights management
• Develop processes, test and implement changes
• Interface as Coordinate Technical Support/ Customer Service between Oracle, IT, and Project/ Project Controls Team
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline scheduling workflows, reduce errors, and improve overall scheduling accuracy.
• Train and mentor personnel on P6 functionalities, guiding them through best practices.
• Ensuring data quality by monitoring for inconsistencies and implementing data cleansing procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to P6 users on data entry, reporting, and system navigation.
• Coordinate with other systems or applications that need to interact with P6 data including COBRA, Milemarker, EPIC and Synchro4D
• Manage the P6 database including backups, performance optimization, security, user access control, and data integrity checks
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
• May need to travel to attend to business related matters
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner• Significant technical knowledge and practical experience with applicable software systems, such as: Primavera P6, SAP, and related Management tools for Cost, Change, and Progress
• P6 EPPM Cloud-based software experience
• Database management and spreadsheet experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to use independent judgment
• Resourceful problem-solving skills
• In-depth knowledge of scheduling practices, systems, and processes, and the ability to act as a key consultant to ensure efficient scheduling operations within an organization, often providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting complex scheduling issues, and training others on scheduling procedures• Proof of US citizenship is required
