Sr Project Automation Specialist

The Senior Project Automation Specialist provides local project support for, MasterPlant™ or other project automation technology used. The technical specialist provides any end user project support, project configuration, or special project modifications required. • Provide technical configuration project and/or office support for the MasterPlant™ technology in conjunction with the office Automation Manager • May manage the department as well as develop and manage the office’s Project Automation Specialists (PAS) • Contribute to, promote, and ensure effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities • Provide direction and guidance for Project Automation Specialists providing configuration and office support for the MasterPlant™ technology • Work with the Project Information Manager (PIM) to analyze any technical implementation or configuration issues for the MasterPlant™ technology • Analyze and evaluate the MasterPlant™ technology support and implementation requirements • Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to thirteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering or computer science is preferred or equivalent technical experience • Twelve (12) years of experience in project, Information Technology or Automation • Good knowledge of Information Technology in: o Desktop/laptop environment and general office tools o Infrastructure (Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), telecommunications, etc.) o Electronic security and governance o Electronic communications o Network operations and support o Software development, implementation, and support • Knowledge of Automation technology and systems integration including: o Good knowledge of the Fluor MasterPlant™ solutions o Good knowledge of the tool integration capabilities and discipline integration needs o Good knowledge of the automation technologies • Vendor certification in Automation/Information Technology/Information Management technologies the position supports (when available)• Support Excel To Win (ETW) Strategies • Support Business Transformation & Innovation (BT&I) initiatives • Perform specializations which may include Project Data Analytics and Project Development Analyst activities
