Job Description"Heavy Industrial Equipment Mechanic : Perform basic service and preventive maintenance on internal combustion engines, cleanup and disassembly of heavy equipment, service and maintenance of hydraulic systems, transmissions, drive trains, clutches, and fluid drives. Cooling systems, mechanical and power steering systems, electrical devices and systems on heavy equipment, compressors, compactors, power trowels, vibrators, dump trucks, graders crawlers, scrapers, rollers, revolving shovels, loaders dozers, trenchers, wheel tractors and mobile work platforms. Perform inspection on all cable-operated lifting rigs and all scheduled inspections. Other duties as assigned. Helpers assist journeymen with these duties. Other Job Requirements : Heavy Civil Highway / Roadwork Experience PreferredHeavy Equipment Field MechanicPerforming basic repairs on all types of construction equipment including trucks.The applicant will also be asked to perform various welding & cutting tasks.Knowledge & Skills Needed : Hydraulic Troubleshooting, Electrical Troubleshooting & Engine Troubleshooting"
