What are the responsibilities and job description for the Union Portable Toilet Service Driver position at Flush Portable Services?
Job Summary:
This is a Union driving position through the Teamsters Local 25.
Work Schedule: Drivers' workdays are typically 9-12 hours. Overtime and weekend work is required as needed. All drivers are expected to be available for overtime and weekends.
Job Overview:
- Deliver, perform service cleanings and pickup Flush equipment from customer sites in a safe, timely manner, in accordance with Flush standards
- Maintain paperwork and communication necessary for day-to-day operations, including letting dispatch know when toilets are not serviceable, deliverable, or unable to be picked up as scheduled.
- Handle problems that arise on route in an efficient and professional manner
- Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism.
- Sanitize and repair portable toilets as needed at the yard based on direction of dispatcher and route activity.
- Route Service Drivers operate Flush Vehicles as required, including but not limited to: Pump Trucks, Box Trucks, Stake Beds and Vans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Drive service truck to customer sites and clean, stock and repair Flush equipment (including, but not limited to: portable toilets, hand wash stations, holding tanks, water tanks, bathroom trailers) based on driver route sheet
- Maintain time and production standards set for route
- Deliver and remove Flush equipment based on your route sheet – this involves loading and unloading the equipment.
- Maintain ongoing communication with Dispatcher – including communication about blocked sites, missed stops, problems with vehicles.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle and provide daily maintenance of vehicle, including, but not limited to: Emptying waste tank daily, draining pump oil catch daily, filling pump oil reservoirs and diesel flush reservoirs, flushing the pump 2 times a week.
- Fill out a vehicle maintenance sheet daily to advise dispatch and management of any issues with the truck.
- Make sure vehicle is properly stocked with supplies
- Keep the exterior and interior of the assigned vehicle clean.
- Install Office System Trailers on job sites if qualified
- Participate in an alternating as needed schedule for weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
- Assisting in the yard as needed and keeping the yard clean and tidy.
- Other duties as assigned and needed.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Motivated and a self-starter but able to work within a team to accomplish larger jobs efficiently.
- Excellent customer service
- Knowledge of safe driving procedures
- Enjoys working outside in all weather extremes.
- Prepared to work long hours and most weekends in some capacity.
- Truck Driving experience preferred, but not required.
- Must take a pre-employment drug test
Requirements:
- Clean Driving Record required.
- Must pass the DOT Medical Card physical exam
- Driving Skills – ability to navigate vehicles on tight roads and driveways. Comfortable towing trailers.
- Mapping and Navigation skills needed.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds solo
- Ability to climb in and out of a truck 60 times a day.
- Drug free and complying with random drug testing during employment
- Conversational English skills and ability to read English.
- Ability to work flexible hours, holidays, and weekends.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
Training:
Will be provided.

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
