General Statement of Duties :
Responsible for the underwriting within department process timelines of owner occupied and investor-owned residential homes, mixed-use & multi-family properties. Communicate with Management, Loan Officers, Loan Administrators, Closing Department, Portfolio Management, and Review Appraisers on issues pertaining to underwriting.
Supervision Received :
Supervision is received directly from the VP - Team Leader, Senior Mortgage Underwriter
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
- Underwriting of owner occupied and investor-owned residential homes, mixed use & small multi-family loans as stipulated in the Banks guidelines and procedures. Recognize credit issues and raise to Management for resolution in a timely manner.
- Analyze financial information including calculation of income and debt ratios, verification of assets, collateral review and credit review.
- Responsible for quality of data in Loan Origination Systems on assigned loans.
- General knowledge of rent guideline restrictions, flood insurance requirements and environmental concerns.
- Prioritize workflow. Achieve and exceed work goals for productivity, quality and turnaround time.
- Review of appraisals and environmental reports ensure compliance with Banks Policy and bring to the attention of Management any exceptions to Policy or discrepancies in the respective reports.
- Work in conjunction with various departments within the Bank

Pay Range : $61,000 - $68,000
Hours : 37.50
This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime if the hours worked are over 40 hours.
The actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience and other factors permitted by law.
