Flux Resources is seeking an Engineer 2 to join one of our clients in Happy Valley, Oregon. This is a contract to hire opportunity paying in the $100,000-$120,000 range.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil, mechanical or environmental engineering; 3-5 years of experience in water utility operations or related functions
- Recently licensed as a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Oregon (or able to sit for the PE exam within one year).
- In addition, preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of AutoDesk and ArcGIS Online (or Server) software, along with InfoWater or H2ONet hydraulic modeling software.
- The primary role is to serve as an experienced member of the engineering staff, executing basic day-to-day assignments from the Engineering Manager.
- This position is also expected to lead small workgroups and lead task assignments.
- This person should have advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices, as well as advanced hydraulic and related modeling experience.
- Typical work may include design support and construction management, SCADA operations, development review, and preparation of related technical memorandum and reports.
- The position will also support the agency’s asset management program, including capital planning, infrastructure renewal and replacement scheduling, and construction cost estimating.
- The work will also be expected to be coordinated with Field Operations staff and related field deployment of engineering functions.
- This position will normally work with limited supervision and is expected to work independently on a regular basis or as a member of a team.
