Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction cost estimates for transportation projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and heavy civil works.
- Work with project teams to understand project scope requirements and ensure accurate cost estimates.
- Participate in Alternatives Analysis, Value Engineering, and Risk Analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with senior staff and clients to determine the best cost strategies for project delivery.
- Manage and track the estimating process to ensure compliance with client requirements and schedules.
- Utilize estimating systems such as FDOT and LRE for cost tracking and reporting.
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in transportation cost estimating.
- Experience in estimating for a range of transportation projects (new construction, repairs, and maintenance).
- Knowledge and experience with FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) and LRE (Long Range Estimating) systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of scope requirements for various types of transportation projects, including right-of-way, utilities, and maintenance of traffic.
