Description

The HR, Payroll, and Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing the administration of human resources functions, payroll processing, and employee benefits programs. This position ensures compliance with company policies and legal requirements, provides support to employees on HR-related matters, and facilitates the accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits.


Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent mixture of educations and experience.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, payroll, and benefits administration. Experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial services is a plus.


Skills:

  • Proficiency in ADP payroll software and HRIS systems required
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and tax regulations.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.


Performance Metrics:

  • Accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
  • Compliance with labor laws and benefits regulations.
  • Employee satisfaction with HR and benefits support.
  • Resolution of employee inquiries and issues within established timeframes.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Human Resources:

  • Employee Onboarding and Offboarding

-Conduct new hire orientation and ensure proper completion of new hire documentation.

-Manage the employee exit process, including exit interviews and final paycheck processing.

  • Employee Records and Compliance

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system.

-Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.

-Manage and update employee handbooks and HR-related documents.

• Employee Relations

-Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding HR policies and procedures.

-Support conflict resolution efforts and provide guidance to managers on employee relations issues.

-Facilitate performance improvement plans and support disciplinary actions as needed.


Payroll:

  • Payroll Processing

-Accurately process payroll on a regular schedule (e.g., bi-weekly or semi-monthly).

-Ensure all payroll entries, including bonuses, overtime, and deductions, are properly recorded.

-Monitor payroll tax withholdings and ensure timely submission of payments to tax agencies.

  • Payroll Reporting and Auditing

-Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports as requested.

- Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

  • Time and Attendance Management

- Manage employee timekeeping system and address any issues related to time tracking.

- Ensure proper classification of exempt and non-exempt employees in compliance with labor laws.


Benefits:

  • Benefits Administration

-Coordinate employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness plans.

-Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations within the benefits system.

-Ensure accurate billing and reconciliation of benefits-related invoices.

  • Employee Support and Communication

-Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits questions and concerns.

-Educate employees on benefit options, eligibility, and enrollment deadlines.

-Facilitate the annual open enrollment process and communicate any plan changes.

  • Regulatory Compliance

-Ensure benefits programs comply with federal and state regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, ERISA).

-Prepare and submit required reports related to benefits and payroll.

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $72,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
