Flybridge Advisors is seeking an experienced SAP MDG Engineer to join our Data Modernization Services team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions for our Fortune 1000 clients, with a particular emphasis on customer data management within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will be an SAP MDG – Business Partner (BP) expert, bringing Big Four consulting experience, a deep understanding of data governance best practices, and technical proficiency in building custom solutions and interfacing with e-commerce applications. This position offers flexibility as either a salaried full-time role or an hourly contractor position, depending on candidate preference and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP MDG Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy SAP MDG solutions to manage master data domains, focusing on customer and Business Partner (BP) data, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
Customer Data Management: Lead the development and optimization of customer master data strategies, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility to support sales, marketing, and compliance initiatives.
Data Governance Frameworks: Collaborate with clients to establish enterprise-wide data governance models, leveraging Flybridge’s expertise in scalable, compliance-driven frameworks that enhance transparency and operational efficiency.
AI and Data Modernization: Integrate AI-driven insights and automation into MDG workflows, supporting real-time risk and performance analytics as part of our AI-Driven Execution (AI-x) methodology.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with IT teams, and business units to align MDG solutions with enterprise AI and data strategies, fostering cross-functional collaboration and agile IT-business alignment.
Education and Upskilling: Contribute tailored training sessions on SAP MDG and data literacy to client teams, building internal capabilities and cultivating a data-driven culture.
Compliance and Ethics: Ensure MDG solutions adhere to pharmaceutical industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ethical data standards, contributing to Flybridge’s commitment to responsible data stewardship.
Project Execution: Contribute to project delivery using agile methodologies, providing hands-on execution and continuous optimization to maximize business value.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
5 years of hands-on experience with SAP MDG, including configuration, customization, and integration with SAP ECC or S/4HANA.
Prior experience with a Big Four consulting firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) is required, focusing on data modernization or master data management projects.
Demonstrated pharmaceutical industry expertise, including customer data management, regulatory compliance, and supply chain processes.
Technical Skills:
Expertise as an SAP MDG – Business Partner (BP) Expert, with proficiency in MDG modules (e.g., Customer, Material, Finance) and a strong emphasis on customer and BP data governance.
Technically strong in building custom MDG solutions, including workflows, enhancements, and extensions to meet client-specific needs.
Strong experience in interfacing e-commerce applications (e.g., SAP Commerce Cloud, Magento) with SAP MDG to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
Expert-level knowledge of SAP MDG – Master Data Consolidation (MDC) and Data Quality Management (DQM) configuration, including rules, validations, and data cleansing processes.
Experience with data modeling, data quality tools (e.g., SAP Data Services), and integration with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
Familiarity with AI/ML tools and their application to data management is a plus.

Exceptional client-facing skills, with the ability to advise and coach C-suite leaders and operational teams.
