Summary and Objective
The Facilities Custodian keeps the buildings on the Kinston campus in clean and orderly condition while performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash. Duties include performing routine cleaning activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk as needed.
Essential functions

Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
Clean building floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Gather and remove trash.
Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as forklifts and floor scrubbers.
Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Assist with cleaning inventory and paperwork.
Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, holidays as needed.
Perform other duties and or special projects as assigned by the customer service agent.

Required education and experience
High School diploma or Equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification.
