Summary and Objective
The Master Scheduler is responsible for the development, coordination, and maintenance of comprehensive production schedules for the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. This role ensures optimal utilization of resources, timely completion of projects, and alignment with customer and organizational priorities. The Master Scheduler works closely with production teams, materials management, and customer service to balance workload demands while maintaining compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations and company policies.
This position requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to manage competing priorities and maintain a seamless workflow across departments.
Essential functions

Create and maintain detailed master schedules for all ongoing and upcoming MRO projects, including maintenance, modifications, and inspections.
Allocate labor, tools, equipment, and hangar space to ensure efficient project execution.
Update schedules regularly to reflect changes in project timelines, resource availability, or customer requirements.
Collaborate with Production Control, Materials Management, Quality Assurance, and Satellite Operations to ensure schedules are realistic and achievable.
Work with Customer Experience teams to communicate project timelines and manage customer expectations.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of required parts and materials.
Monitor resource utilization to identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or underutilization.
Recommend adjustments to staffing, tooling, or hangar allocations to balance workloads across departments.
Support long-term capacity planning and resource forecasting based on historical data and anticipated workload.
Track and analyze schedule adherence, identifying root causes of delays or deviations.
Report on key scheduling metrics, such as on-time project completion, resource utilization rates, and downtime.
Develop and implement corrective actions to improve scheduling efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure all scheduling practices comply with FAA regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of schedules, changes, and resource allocations.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scheduling accuracy, efficiency, and adaptability.
Evaluate and recommend scheduling software or tools to streamline operations.
Conduct regular reviews of scheduling practices to ensure alignment with the industry’s best practices and organizational goals.

Extensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and interactions.
Thorough knowledge of current FAA regulations, IPM, and ATA codes.
Competencies
Familiarity with CAMP and CORRIDOR (preferred).
Experience with scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar).
More than proficient in Excel.
Work environment
Work is primarily performed in an office environment, with occasional exposure to hangar conditions.
May require periodic travel to satellite locations.

Required education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in production scheduling, aviation maintenance planning, or a related field.
Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance processes and FAA Part 145 requirements.
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification.
Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment. This includes verification of previous employment, education, criminal history, and any other relevant information necessary to determine the suitability for the position.
Preferred education and experience
Certification in scheduling or project management (e.g., PMP, CPM) is a plus.
Experience in aviation, particularly in MRO operations.
