Summary and Objective
The Production Control Manager is the driving force behind daily aircraft maintenance operations, responsible for pushing production forward and keeping projects on track, on time, and on budget. This role leads the coordination of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) efforts by aligning workforce resources, materials, and timelines to meet operational goals and customer expectations.
Working directly under the Director of Maintenance, the Production Control Manager acts as the primary liaison between departments to eliminate roadblocks, maintain momentum, and ensure production targets are not only met—but exceeded. This position requires high energy, urgency, and strong leadership to manage competing priorities while maintaining compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations.
Essential functions

Drive and oversee the execution of MRO production schedules with urgency and precision.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, ensuring continuous workflow and timely delivery.
Lead daily production meetings to review progress, assign priorities, and hold teams accountable.
Monitor real-time progress of aircraft projects and proactively adjust plans to meet deadlines.
Partner with Materials, Quality Assurance, and department leads to ensure readiness and alignment.
Ensure seamless communication across all production areas—Maintenance, Interior, Paint, and Avionics.
Track key performance metrics, identify variances, and implement corrective actions immediately.
Champion process efficiency, enforcing standards and driving continuous improvement across the floor.
Escalate issues and delays promptly to leadership with clear resolution plans.
Maintain accurate project records, including work orders, schedules, status logs, and cost tracking.
Represent production status in cross-functional leadership meetings.
Reinforce FAA compliance and internal quality expectations across all maintenance activities.
Motivate and lead teams to meet demanding production goals, while promoting accountability.
Support customer interactions and production updates when required.

Required education and experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License
5 years of experience in customer service, project management, or aviation maintenance operations.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience working in an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment preferred.
Proficiency in CRM systems, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to customer engagement.
Knowledge of FAA regulations and industry best practices is a plus.
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification.
