Flying Dutchman Spirits is seeking friendly, proactive, and energetic back-of-house (B.O.H.)/kitchen staff committed to providing our guests with a high-quality cocktail lounge experience. The BOH/kitchen staff’s responsibilities include making quality products, comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products to ensure a smooth service. B.O.H./Kitchen staff will also aid in keeping the dish well clear, cleaning dishes, and putting dishes back where they belong. You should be a skilled multi-tasker with a passion for guest satisfaction and knowledge of food/kitchen layout.
B.O.H./Kitchen Responsibilities:
- Cooking food to safe temperatures
- Receiving and stocking ingredients and supplies
- Managing inventory and equipment
- Managing waste
- Organizing food and cleaning supplies
- Following food safety standards
- Ensuring the kitchen is clean and presentable
B.O.H./Kitchen Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required.
- Meets the state minimum age of 18 to serve alcohol.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
