As a growing and dynamic distillery, we host various events, including tastings, private tours, special celebrations, and public gatherings. We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to help bring our events to life.

 Key Responsibilities:

 The Event Coordinator will support the planning, coordinating, and executing events at Flying Dutchman Spirits. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in event management, hospitality, or the spirits industry. You will work closely with the Event Manager and other team members to ensure every event is seamless and unforgettable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, organizing, and executing events at the distillery, including tours, tastings, private events, and community gatherings.
  • Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure all logistics (food, beverage, decor, staffing, etc.) are arranged in advance.
  • Help manage guest lists, RSVPs, and communications leading up to events.
  • Set up event spaces according to the event specifications and ensure the venue is clean and welcoming.
  • Greet guests, provide event details, and assist with guest services during events.
  • Maintain an organized system for event-related materials, contracts, and paperwork.
  • Monitor event timelines and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Assist in post-event follow-up, including feedback collection and event evaluations.
  • Support promotional efforts for upcoming events via social media and other marketing channels.
  • Handle any event-related troubleshooting, ensuring smooth operations throughout each event.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, some college education, or relevant coursework in event management, hospitality, or a related field, is a plus.
  • Strong interest in the spirits industry or event planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for delivering great customer experiences.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as events may occur outside regular business hours.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar software; experience with event management software is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods during events.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
