This position will also assume responsibilities for the sanitation team, ensuring the cleanliness of the building, materials and equipment inside and out of the build is kept up to standards

This job operates in a flight operations environment, and this position will routinely use standard Airline Catering equipment. The facility is widely refrigerated and requires work inside refrigerated processing areas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and stand for long periods and reach with hands and arm.

This position will also assume responsibilities for the sanitation team, ensuring the cleanliness of the building, materials and equipment inside and out of the build is kept up to standards
Essential Functions
- Review job orders to determine responsibility.
- Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Directs activities on utility systems such as the supply of heat, HVAC, steam, electric power, and air required for operations.
- Develop preventative maintenance programs.
- Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Plan, develop and implement new procedures to improve operations while minimizing costs.
- Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
- Manages the sanitation team of the unit to make sure the unit itself inside and outside is clean and being cleaned and meeting FSQ and HACCP regulations.
- Communicates and works along-side with FSQ to ensure the sanitation department is ready for any/all audits, whether internal or external audits.
- Manages Facility Porters to ensure building and operational areas are kept clean and meet HACCP regulations, daily inspections, customer expectations, etc.
- Communicates with shifts and all internal departments to ensure required sanitation is complete on requested times.
- Ensures steps for safe and clean operation of all machinery.
- Schedules shift personnel following the proper bidding procedures.
- Promotes a safe working procedures to prevent accidents to self and coworkers. Stresses safe working procedures to all employees daily.
- Immediately investigates, documents, and reports all on the job accidents following company safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, facility management, or a similar field is preferred.
- 5 to 10 years in maintenance with managerial experience preferred.
- Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
- Experience with OSHA-related requirements.
- Must be able to motivate and build a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Communicate all related matters to shift personnel with daily debriefings.
- Must attend all company provided supervision/management training.
- Maintains and updates required OSHA Material Safety Data Sheet library.
- Prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in the budget.
