Maintenance Supervisor

Job Responsibilities:
• The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining function, and reliability, and monitors equipment regularly for malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening to irregular noises, and conducting testing as appropriate.
• May perform other related duties as necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company such as preventive and corrective maintenance repairs to machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Inspecting all electrical units and systems and ascertaining the proper functioning of the same.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC-R equipment. Inspect the appropriate functionality of all HVAC-R equipment.
• Must possess a strong knowledge base of HVAC-R installation and troubleshooting skills.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checklist.
• Keeping a record of all day-to-day maintenance activities undertaken in a facility.
• Reporting defects, damages, and malfunctions of any kind to the Maintenance Manager.
• Complying with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Rules (OSHA) while working.
• Effectively completing all tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Work independently under supervision and in teams.
• Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness.
• Any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
• Follow all work instructions and safety policies, including the use of all PPE and safety equipment.
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance facilities such as in a hotel or food production is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain the Port Authority ID.
• Have a clean driver's license.
• EPA 608 Universal certification
• Ability to manage through a substantial workload.
• Knowledge of Commercial Air Conditioning, Heating, Rooftop Package HVAC-R Systems.
• Refrigeration Equipment Pressure Test, Vacuum and Charging.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, as well as have a working knowledge of electrical systems.
• Carry out the vehicle preventive maintenance checklist: check battery; replace windshield wipers; fluid level check: brake fluid, engine oil, DEF level, coolant; check headlights and taillights; check tire pressure.
• Proactive and self-organized.
Experience:
• Facilities maintenance, general electrical, boiler, plumbing.
• HVAC-R experience: 3 years minimum.
• Knowledge of vehicles mechanical.
• English and Spanish is preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen facilities and equipment is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a loud/noisy, hot, cold, humid, dusty, greasy and high-volume environment and works safely following proper guidelines.
Physical Demands
Work from ladders; lift 50 pounds several times per day and maintain balance; ability to perform duties in extreme varying temperatures; bending at waist, kneeling, climbing, walking, and crouching as necessary to perform job duties. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to move, lift, carry, pull, or push as needed.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time exempt position in a 24/7/365 work environment.
Must be flexible to work holidays, weekends, and call-ins as required.
