ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the management and supervision of maintenance operations for exterior and interior facilities and equipment including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, HVAC systems, swimming pools, hot tubs, painting, carpentry and other maintenance work necessary to maintain the property in an optimum and efficient condition.
- Ensure quality of Club standards through daily inspection of Club Facilities, public areas, offices, mechanical rooms and storage areas
- Ensure timely response to requests by management, members, and employees for repair of equipment and furnishings
- Administer an effective preventive maintenance program
- Responsible for the overall mechanical, electrical and plumbing operation of the physical building to include the fire system and energy management system
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of swimming pool and hot tub equipment including boilers, pumps, filters and water chemistry equipment
- Maintain a high level of OSHA awareness and compliance. Keep Material Safety Data Sheets up to date and conduct regular safety training as required by OSHA
- Assist in the preparation of operating budgets and capital expense requests
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies, tools, and parts
- Enforce the rules of conduct as set forth in the Employee Handbook
- Ability to work any assigned shift or work schedule
- Any other task, written or verbal, that is assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience/training
- Pleasant demeanor, ability to communicate efficiently, and clean professional appearance
- Must have a valid Drivers License and supply a current copy of DMV driving history
- Five years experience as an engineer in the resort industry or equivalent
- Ability to operate power equipment necessary for the trade
- Ability to transport, handle and/or lift 75 lbs. (NOTE: maintenance equipment, air conditioning units, etc.)
- A working knowledge of the Federal and State regulations on HVAC, paint products, plumbing and structural codes and proper disposal of engineering byproducts
- Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on a computer
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language
- Must be HVAC certified and be able to trouble shoot and repair A/Cs and the refrigeration units
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers and pumps
- Must understand and be able to safely work with electrical power up to and including 480 volt, three phase
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Must possess exceptional communication and networking skills and represent Flying Horse and it ownership in a positive and professional manner at all times. Competency in dealing with members and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy. Must possess the ability to work effectively under large group settings.
