ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will serve as a member of the gatehouse/security team and responsible for greeting and properly directing all vehicles and persons entering the Resort and Club property. This position will require a strong working knowledge of everything occurring on property on a daily basis to include lodge arrivals and departures, events, reservations, construction, deliveries, etc. This position is the first impression of the Club and will have the highest level of professionalism in both verbal and physical presentation.
- Ensure that each Member and guest receive outstanding service by providing a friendly, professional environment to include; proper greeting, directions, knowledge of event schedule, reservations, etc.
- Assist with any security matters on property when asked to include assisting other areas with first response to any suspicious behavior.
- Respond to Member and guest inquiries and requests and resolve any issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Maintain a safe workplace by utilizing safety first practices to remain accident-free.
- Practice and be familiar with all safety procedures, fire alarms, gas/water isolation valve locations, First Aid requirements and be able to act calmly and professionally in times of emergency.
- Assist with the distribution via email monthly safety and training topics to all departments and ensure all personnel have read and signed safety meeting sheets. All sheets to be turned into supervisor for filing.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Communicate the rules of the club to the Athletic Club team, Club members and guests.
- Assist with the oversight of the overnight cleaning team and ensure that duties are completed on overnight shifts.
- Handle conflict as the need arises in a calm, professional manner.
- Assist with receiving mail packages and organizing them for departmental pick up.
- Clean and organize the gatehouse keeping the inside and outside area tidy at all times.
- Check phone messages and respond as needed.
- Read all daily emails and respond as needed.
- Type shift notes after every shift to communicate to all team Members.
- Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Club Manager and Director.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Have a High School degree ( high school students 16 years and older may apply)
- Have experience in a customer service setting
- Security/Gatehouse background preferred ( but not required)
- Have the ability to operate a computer
- Must have the ability to lift and move 30 lbs., 50% of the time
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time while in an outdoor covered space while directing/greeting vehicles
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time outside
Must possess customer service skills and strong oral communication skills. Competency in dealing with Members, guests and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy. Must possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines.
