ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Banquet Server is responsible for the set-up and serving of food and beverages at all banquet functions according to Flying Horse Standards that will result in the complete satisfaction of the guests attending the event. Our team members use their creativity and talent to invent new solutions, meet new demands, and offer the most effective services/products in the industry for the best guest experience.
The Banquet Event Server will be passionate about our culture, food, wine, alcoholic beverages, and service to thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition and previous experience working in a bustling, fast-paced, fine dining setting.
- Serve food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and timely manner.
- Must be able to understand how to read a Banquet Event Order (BEO), including a room diagram.
- Gather and coordinate all equipment necessary to service banquet event.
- Maintain a clear and obstruction free service corridor.
- Perform all Banquet side work as designated by the Banquet Lead and/or Banquet Supervisor.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Flying Horse Standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the event volume.
- Maintain high level of standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
- Comply at all times with Flying Horse Standards and Regulations to encourage safe and efficient Banquet Department operations.
- Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest.
- Prepare room according to the BEO (Banquet Event Order) and various meal service.
- Clean-up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored and re-stocked properly.
- Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
- Respond to guest problems, complaints and accidents. Communicate to management, if necessary.
- Efficiently and properly perform all service standards to encourage safe and efficient operations.
- Efficiently attend to all needs of the guest during functions and function related duties.
- Report to Banquet Lead and/or Banquet Supervisor any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of and banquet equipment.

- Possess strong team leadership skills
- Be physically fit and be able to stand for long periods of time
- Have previous banquet experience
- Be highly organized
- Have good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Have strong oral communication skills
- Possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of banquet experience in an upscale banquet environment.
- Schedule flexibility that includes working evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Country club experience preferred
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Will have to work together with various staff and positions at the club. Communicating with the front desk at the lodge, banquet teams, kitchen staff, valet, servers, and food runners are necessary to ensure a great experience for our guests.
