Become an Adventure Guide!

As an Adventure Guide you’ll spend your time among the trees working with a great team to provide unforgettable experiences to our guests. Our course is like nothing else in town, and we want your help making it even better!


What is an Adventure Guide?

Adventure guides lead guests through our main 2.5 hour experience featuring 6 high ropes courses and 5 ziplines, as well as our 2 hour kids course experience. Excellent customer service, teamwork, and an ability to follow safety procedures are crucial to maintaining a positive work environment, and providing a great experience to our guests.

Guides also get access to regular team adventures such as hikes and tubing excursions, and spend their time ziplining among the trees just a few miles from the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Being an adventure guide is the perfect job for any outdoor enthusiast.


Responsibilities

  • Inspect our courses and ziplines on a daily basis.
  • Ensure the adventure facility is clean and well maintained at all times.
  • Assist with guest gear up and gear down according to FRA guidelines.
  • Provide engaging and informative safety presentations to guests before each trip.
  • Lead guests (Groups of 10 ) through our high ropes course, ziplines, and kids course by providing verbal assistance when required and helping guests on and off of our courses.
  • Keep track of trip timing to ensure guests are always taken care of promptly.
  • Always uphold FRA company policy and procedures.
  • All other assigned duties.


Qualifications

  • No prior experience is required! Our in depth training will provide you with all of the information and skills you need to assist guests, maintain our safety standards, and carry out your job responsibilities.
  • Must be 18 years old or older (Applicants under 18 consult alternate roles subheading).
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to speak fluent English.
  • Dependable, responsible, reliable, and able to take directions as needed.
  • Ability to treat guests cordially and provide excellent customer service.
  • Legally certified to work in the United States.
  • Flexible schedule able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Meet physical requirements (Listed below).


Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Capable of working in all weather conditions.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to work at up to 100 ft. heights.
  • Must meet our course weight requirement of 285 lbs. and our course height requirement of 50” (4.1 ft.).
  • Must complete course during interview.

Alternate Roles

In addition to Adventure Guides we’re also searching for reservationists to supervise our front desk in our Outpost, and our check-in station on our observation deck. Any applicants interested, or who do not meet our physical or age requirements (All applicants must be 16 ), can apply for this guide position and specify their desired role in the “Notes for us” section of the application.


What is Flying Rabbit Adventures?

Flying Rabbit Adventures is an aerial adventure park that’s like nothing else around. It’s an amazing, 3-story, outdoor aerial park with 6 high ropes courses, 5 zip lines including our 135 ft. Big Zip, and a kids course. In 2024 we were rated the 7th best aerial adventure park in the nation by USA Today (Our goal is #1 in 2025).
