Position Description :
IT Project Managers are responsible for overseeing all aspects of any project in Flynn’s IT department. Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
Some of an IT Project Manager’s day-to-day duties include :
Manages all phases of the IT projects assigned with minimal support, including planning, executing, delivering, and closing activities.
Work with business leaders and project team members to develop appropriate methodology plans and activities with appropriate tasks, resources, milestones, cost analysis and timelines.
Provide all levels of project communications and work with project sponsors to resolve issues, address changes and identify risks.
Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence.
Contributes to ongoing IT project leadership process improvement by making recommendations to the Project Management Practices, Tools & Standards.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
1-4 years’ experience with IT Project Management.
Strong Written and oral presentation skills.
Project leadership skills and ability to inspire teamwork.
Facilitate meetings within a team-oriented and cross-functional environment.
Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized and able to multi-task under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of project life cycles and project methodologies.
Experience with Project Portfolio Management.
Experience managing medium to large sized IT projects.
Enterprise technology deployments.
IT Compliance and data governance.
Mergers & Acquisition experience.
Retail and Restaurant project management a plus.
