What are the responsibilities and job description for the F&B Shift Leader position at Flynt Management Group, LLC?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Food & Beverage Shift Leaders primary responsibility is to oversee the daily shift operations for food and beverage related to front of house team members and guest of the casino.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adjust work schedules for all FOH team members due to call outs, etc.
- Assists in training, and development of team members.
- Adhere to all Health Department regulations and policies to ensure that cleanliness, sanitation and safety standards are met. Provide training to employees as required or necessary.
- Assist FOH team members in a hands on manner as required to ensure guest service standards are achieved
- Perform voids and/or corrections to guest checks as required.
- Ensure staff are working in their assigned sections.
- Monitor break schedules and provide coverage as required to ensure service is maintained.
- Maintain current knowledge of all menus and procedures for FOH positions
- Interact with guest and ensure customer satisfaction is being achieved regarding quality and service.
- Resolve customer satisfaction issues per established policy.
- Monitor all F&B areas for any maintenance or safety issues and communicate to proper department for resolution.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Prepare a shift report daily in designated logbook
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned by Executive F&B Management
- Adhere to all Human Resources and Hustler Casino company policies.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years’ experience in a hotel or restaurant environment. Casino experience preferred.
- 2 years’ experience working in FOH position as a bartender or wait staff
- Must be familiar Microsoft Office programs, for preparation of effective reporting and communication.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING
- HS diploma or GED
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to determine and shift priorities quickly
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships
- Able to read, write, and speak English
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gardena City Work permit.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Serve Safe Management certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must have ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs. without restrictions.
- Requires bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, grasping, squatting, and reaching above and below shoulder level.
- Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
