Flyspace Productions is looking for a Social Media Intern to join our team in our North Shore office. The Intern will create and manage all social media marketing campaigns and properties to promote both Flyspace and Pittsburgh Mobile Bars, plus launching a new line of business of luxury events. This is an opportunity to be behind the scenes at some of the largest events in the region to capture and highlight content across the company. The intern will develop and implement a social media plan that will be realized and measured throughout the summer.
The ideal candidate is seeking to expand their experience and knowledge in the marketing, communications, and social media management fields. This person will work directly with the Senior Event Manager of Private Events. They should be able to be self-directed, creative, organized, and methodical. To be successful, the Social Media Intern must be able to collaborate with other event professionals to support and highlight the work of the company, expertly manage their time and resources, and have excellent communication skills.
This is a paid internship position. We expect the candidate to be available for 15-20 hours per week, consistent with any credit internship requirements. They should also be available to work in the office, and onsite at events to capture content. The intern will receive a stipend of $2,500 per semester in addition to any credit hours. At the conclusion of this internship, the candidate will have developed and implemented a social media project with tangible resources and hands-on experience for both B2B and B2C brands.
Responsibilities:
- Content creation: Develop engaging and relevant content for both Flyspace Productions and Pittsburgh Mobile Bars across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest). Work with the Senior Event Manager of Private Events to develop a roll out plan for a new line of business of luxury events.
- Scheduling and posting: Manage content calendars and schedule posts
- Onsite Content Capture: Be present onsite at some events to capture photos and videos for social media use
- Analytics: Analyzes analytics to gauge the success of campaigns and provide reports and feedback
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media platforms to identify new opportunities.
- Brand Consistency: Collaborate with senior management to develop consistent brand voice and content
- Goals: Work with the leadership team to identify company social media goals and work to achieve those measurable goals throughout the semester
- Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service
Requirements:
- Pursuing higher level education in marketing, communications, or social media management, or related field
- Working knowledge of core social media platforms from an account administrator level
- Creativity and passion for communicating
- Proven experience in a similar position
- Ability to travel to event sites throughout the area and reliable transportation to Northshore office
- Must be 18 or older
