This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer with deep technical expertise in HVAC systems and strong leadership abilities, ready to step into a key position overseeing engineering, product development, and operations.
The Role
The Chief Mechanical Engineer will lead all engineering functions, overseeing the design, development, and optimization of PTAC units and heat pumps. The role extends beyond technical expertise, requiring strong logistics management, vendor coordination, and client-facing communication, ensuring they bring both technical strength and leadership capability to the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design, development, and product optimization of HVAC systems.
- Oversee logistics and supply chain coordination, ensuring seamless materials procurement and vendor management.
- Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure project efficiency and effective communication.
- Develop engineering strategies that improve product performance, manufacturing processes, and cost-efficiency.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to keep the company competitive.
- Manage quality control and compliance with HVAC manufacturing standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the next generation of engineers within the company.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of experience in HVAC product development, with a focus on PTAC units or heat pumps.
Technical & Leadership Skills:
- Strong understanding of PTAC technology, heat pump systems, and HVAC manufacturing.
- Experience with CAD software, product design, and engineering analysis tools.
- Background in logistics, materials procurement, and supply chain coordination.
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions, vendor negotiations, and team leadership.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and innovate in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
