SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for paying all company related invoices, check requests and related payments. Full cycle accounts payable processing from coding the invoices against the proper general ledger accounts to processing the check-runs.
- Code all types of invoices, such as Direct Material (Cost of Goods) to general expenses· Data entry on all invoices
- Payment processing (invoice, leasing, loan, garnishment, credit card)
- Reconcile Vendor Statements, answer vendor calls and resolve problems
- Research on invoice quantity, price discrepancies, and proof of delivery issues
- Process Debit Memos as necessary
- Obtain proper signature authorizations on non-PO type invoices
- Assist with AP month-end process, accruals, print month-end reports
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (AA) in accounting or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to understand the AP process and procedure
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Computer literate to include, accounting database relational software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
