About The Role
We are seeking a motivated Data Engineering Intern to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate on designing and implementing modern, scalable ETL pipelines in Databricks while working with diverse data sources. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enterprise-level data engineering while contributing to meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop production-quality data pipelines using software design and coding best practices
- Work on ETL pipelines to integrate data from 3rd party API's and identify/ingest new data sources for various departments
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers within an agile
- framework
- Participate in team meetings including standups and backlog grooming sessions
- Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding data quality and other technical concerns
- Assist with sprintly code deployments and contribute to deployment pipeline improvements
- Present work internally through Sprint Demos and knowledge transfer seminars
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with Python programming (pandas, sklearn)
- Understanding of database concepts and SQL proficiency
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Experience with PySpark
- Familiarity with neural network frameworks
- Knowledge of Airflow
- Experience with Python environment management tools (pyenv, pip)
- Understanding of database user roles and access management
- Experience with Azure Databricks
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts
- Familiarity with Terraform and ArgoCD
- Knowledge of LLM models and basic prompt engineering
