Overview
FMI Capital Advisors, a registered broker/dealer, is a leading investment banking firm dedicated to serving companies working within the built environment. Our investment banking team has guided businesses in engineering and construction, building products and materials, power and energy, infrastructure, and other related sectors through more than 750 transactions. Our Associates are dedicated to individual sectors in order to help develop industry knowledge as well as train an M&A skillset. Immediately upon joining the firm, Associates play an important role on each engagement – developing materials, creating financial analysis, and interacting with clients on a daily basis. Associates at FMI Capital Advisors gain extensive M&A exposure through involvement in every aspect of deal execution.
This full-time opportunity requires 10%- 15% travel, and can be based out ourf Denver, Colorado or Raleigh, North Carolina offices.

Responsibilities
- Conducting industry, market and company-specific research
- Performing financial analysis, valuation and financial modeling
- Participating in client-engagement meetings
- Developing transaction marketing materials, including pitch books, teasers, confidential information memorandums and management presentations
- Assisting in the execution of M&A transactions, including the preparation and management of virtual data rooms and the coordination of client and third-party due diligence
- Building relationships and maintaining contact with established and prospective clients and professional advisors
- Driving and managing processes for goal-oriented deliverables
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- MBA from a top-tier college or university required; Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering or related field preferred
- 3 years of investment banking, private equity or corporate development experience required; 2 years of post-MBA industry experience desired
- Solid quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling and analysis
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
- Superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
- Experience with DealCloud is a plus
Compensation Information
- Salary- $100,000- $140,000, based on experience, plus bonus
- FMI provides a comprehensive benefit package consisting of paid employee medical insurance, life insurance and LT disability, as well as other benefit elections. FMI’s package includes a strong 401(k) plan, PTO and parental leave benefit.
