Videographer Job Description
We are looking for an organized and creative videographer to work with our creative team to plan, film, and edit video content according to client briefs. The videographer's responsibilities include ensuring that the necessary filming equipment is available for use, directing other camera operators on set, and editing film footage.
To be successful as a videographer you must be able to understand client briefs and work creatively to produce the desired product. A good videographer should stay up to date with industry trends and tools that will make projects more marketable. This individual must be social media savvy in order to create content that is attention-grabbing, edgy and represents the client’s personality and brand.
It’s equally important that our videographers are excellent at building client relationships including handling uncomfortable situations, putting clients at ease and communicating clearly and effectively to get results.
FILMING DAYS:
- Get enough content to create 6 vids that our editing team can edit.
- Plan film agenda w our creative director
- Knows social media trends
- Collaborate and work well with video production team
- Must be able to handle filming on your own. ( no help carrying or setting up equipment )
- Needs to be able to direct individuals and small groups on film as well
APPEARANCE & TRAVEL:
- Well kept
- Clean and Professional
- Willing to fly anywhere
- Willing to stay anywhere
- Willing to eat on a tight budget while traveling
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Uploads videos to Frame.io
- Maintains all FMO Media borrowed equipment in proper working order.
- Attends zoom meetings with FMO Media team and clients.
- Other related duties as required.
LICENSES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
- Must be proficient with computers and other peripheral devices, digital video cameras,
- Microphones, and video editing hardware and software.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of Avid, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and Premier.
- Proficiency using software appropriate to a marketing and communications office; including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office; telephone; copy and fax machine.
- Must have access to and use their own transportation.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- This position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- Must be able to push, lift, carry and/or use the above equipment.
- May be required to work outdoors
